About us 

Our parent company, Tulpehocken Spring Water, was founded in 1924 by Mr. Herbie Clark. In 1953, Mr. Glen Bickel took over and ran a successful local Mom & Pop operation which catered to the local community.

On January 1, 1977, Mr. Joseph Malloy took over ownership and operations and for the past 35 years Mr. Malloy has guided Tulpehocken Spring Water into a company with six Service Centers to service a large portion of our customers throughout Central and Northern Pennsylvania as well as Northern New Jersey and parts of Maryland and West Virginia.

In March 2008, Mountainside Coffee Service was started as a subsidiary of Tulpehocken Spring Water, Inc. It was not born it was created for two reasons. The first was out of necessity because the consumer wanted to deal with one vendor whenever possible in order to simplify their hectic work environment. The second reason was to fulfill a need. Tulpehocken found that a large portion of customers were unhappy or not satisfied with their existing coffee company. This dissatisfaction was due to various reasons such as poor service, old equipment, high prices and most of all the quality of the coffee itself.

The company hired John A. Ventura, a 22-year veteran of the coffee and water industry and a longtime friend of Tulpehocken Spring Water, to create, promote, and oversee a coffee program that Tulpehocken could be proud of.

The Mission Statement for Mountainside Coffee is direct and to the point:

Bring the finest coffee brewing equipment to our commercial customer.
Bring proprietary blends roasted only with the finest Arabican and Colombian beans along with the finest premium teas from around the world to the market place.
Provide the exceptional service that all Tulpehocken customers have come to expect.
Offer a large selection of not only coffee but allied products for the convenience of commercial customers.

These five principles have been our foundation from the very start of Mountainside Coffee. Our main belief is that a good cup of coffee or a great cup of tea can make work a pleasure or home and that our customer's satisfaction will continue to drive our future success!
